About Yoga

During the physical practice of yoga, participants may notice an increased awareness of their breath and sensation system. There may be an experience of increased connection to emotions and rhythms of the body. Noticing what you might be feeling can support capacity for regulation.

Yoga has a long tradition with many different forms of practice and is now strongly linked to aiding in overall mental, emotional, and physical wellness. Yoga aids in overall mindfulness and awareness and the ability to focus on the present moment.

Getting Started

With the recent popularization of yoga, if can feel intimidating when considering your options. Yoga is designed for everyone and can meet you where you are. Either as a stand-alone practice or in combination with therapy, yoga can help you with your health and wellness goals.

If you are interested in one of our yoga offerings, consider speaking with your therapist and discuss the right option for you. Currently, we have two therapists on staff who are also skilled yoga teachers. Both are well-trained to help you as you begin your yoga healing journey as part of your overall wellness plan.
