Mellany Flynn
PSY.D., LICENSED PSYCHOLOGIST, EMDR
Mellany is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist in the State of Arkansas (#05-17P). She received her Psy.D degree from the Wright State University School of Professional Psychology in Dayton, Ohio in 2004 and has been independently licensed since 2005. She has worked in community mental health, correctional, hospital, and group practice settings.
Mellany treats adult clients (ages 18 and older) who experience symptoms of depression, anxiety, and other mood disorders. Additionally, she also sees clients who are seeking assistance in dealing with grief, trauma, adjustment, and a variety of other issues. Mellany enjoys working with couples and families in addition to individual clients. She practices from a foundation of cognitive-behavior therapy but tailors her therapeutic approach to each individual client and their particular needs. Mellany believes in the healing power of laughter and uses humor as often as clinically appropriate in her sessions.
Mellany is originally from Michigan but has lived in Little Rock since 2003. She has been married to her husband since 2010 and they have two children. She enjoys reading, binge watching crime dramas, and organizing as many things as possible.
